At the moment it isn't possible to dial out using google voice directly from the contact list. This feature is a must, and will allow users a more seamless experience using GUAVA on the android platform.

The only thing stopping me / and possibly lot others from taking advantage of your great software is that our google account password is being sent to gizmo5.
As there is no changelog I wouldn't know when you have a more elegant authentication method for google voice.
I also suggest you make this your topmost priority after the wifi disconnecting issue.
Also, update the status of the project somewhere once this is done so that we can quickly jump on :-)

I would like to have both sipdroid and guava installed on my phone for doing different tasks. Sipdroid allows me to use other VOIP providers for incoming and outgoing connections. Hence, making them coexist is a must for me.

I only want to use guava when I have wifi, but the client continues to register over my EDGE/3G network when no wifi is available. It has even received calls over tmake guava not register over DATA/EDGE/3G when "Use 3G/EDGE" is deselectedhis connection, although it is not "checkmarked" in the settings.

May we have some choice on codecs that are use? I would really like to see a low bandwidth codec alternative to what is presently being used, perhaps Speex or iLBC.

Currrently the GUAVA dialpad works well enough during calls to allow you to enter a single number when prompted. If you have to enter multiple numbers such as a telephone or social security number, however, the dialpad lags and makes it next to impossible.

GUAVA can send SMS messages but it would be great if it could receive them as well. I know there's a "read SMS" message button but that just opens a browser window. It doesn't give any indication that a new message has arrived. Can this be supported?

Can both applications be installed at the same time? Can Guava only "kick in" if there is wifi...otherwise default GSM and Google Voice runs?

Rather than having to rekey in numbers every time into GUAVA it should do auto-lookups as you type from the contact list on the phone. Similar to how the Dialer works. This would make it much easier to dial numbers.

The contents within the downloadable package guava.apk might have changed in its download location at gizmo5.com/guava from day to day. There should be a changelog on that website as well as some kind versioning system so each guava.apk is identifiable and unique. Also, putting the source on this site as well would help alleviate problems with other developers and allow more people to easily get the source code and contribute the fixes and ideas on this here uservoice :)

It would be nice to have a simple on/off widget we could put on the desktop. Also What would be even better would be a locale plugin to turn it on/off based on gps location So it turns on when im home :)

Although the guava icon is beautiful, it is the identity of another application that GUAVA should not be confused with.

When GV forwards a call to both gizmo and GSM, it gets ugly. The phone and guava both start ringing and it not easy to choose one to answer.

People with whom I am speaking are able to hear my notification alerts when I am using GUAVA. For example, I have an audible alert that tells me when I have received an email. When using GUAVA the person I am speaking with is able to hear this alert too.

I haven't seen any official word yet, but is guava broke forever since the acquisition? All of the sudden, my G1 w/ root and a green indicator on the pull down bar (using PSTN, which worked last week), just isn't now. No changes have been made to the device. HELP!

Running Guava under CyanogenMod 4.2.1. As soon as I 'enable" Guava it hangs until I am offered a 'force close'.
